  Gibson Lighting is a joy to work with. Excellent service, creative ideas, terrific problem solvers. We have done multiple projects together -- many for our own house. Although it's a hike to get to Jim's shop, it is SO worth the trip! In addition, on the rare occurrence when there's a problem with one of his lights, Jim stands behind everything that he produces! 100% customer satisfaction is what you receive when working with Gibson Lughting.

  Jim Gibson and Gilbert Meza and the entire crew at Gibson Antique Lighting are incredible and the best in San Diego. My historic home was basically destroyed when a water pipe broke and Jim did wonders to help me. First he repaired a chandelier and restored it so that no one could tell there was water damage. Second, he helped me create historical lightening pieces by using items in his shop that complemented the time period for my house. No one can believe they are new!! Finally Jim helped in the areas where I wanted lighting to be creative in my kitchen by creating the best lighting fixture ever- a chandelier of vintage cookie cutters and children's pots and pans. It is a one of a kind creation and every visitor takes a picture of it. Jim's talents go beyond lighting and he helped me create bar stools to match the chandelier by painting second-hand bar stools red with large pots as the seats. I hope Gibson stays in business for a long time. Gilbert and the rest of the staff is wonderful to work with and exercised a tremendous amount of patience with me as I went through the trauma of rebuilding my house after the flood. They are my go-to place for lighting. Jim never says no to my ideas and always finds a way to make them work.
